AMBASSADOR OF JAPAN HOSTED A DINNER AT HIS RESIDENCE TO EXCHANGE VIEWS WITH THE MEMBERS OF PAKISTAN-JAPAN PARLIAMENTARY FRIENDSHIP GROUP IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Mr. Hiroshi Inomata hosted a dinner at his residence to exchange views with the Members of Pakistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group in the National Assembly, today. H.E. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker National Assembly and President of Pakistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group, attended the occasion.

Mr. Hiroshi Inomata welcomed H.E. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and the distinguished members of the Pakistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group and said that Japan and Pakistan has nurtured a good relationship since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1952. In particular, as symbolized by the member of the Pakistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group’s visit to Japan in February 2015, the current frequent parliamentary exchanges between Japan and Pakistan played the important role for consolidating their bilateral relations. He pledged his continuous support in promoting interaction between parliamentarians of Japan and Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, H.E. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that Pakistan attached immense importance to its decades’ old friendship with Japan. He stressed that the visit to Japan in February, 2015 by the delegation of the Pakistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group led by Ms. Leila Khan, MNA as its convener, was very successful and greatly contributed to foster the mutual understanding between parliamentarians of the two countries including the exchange of the views with the members of its counterpart, Japan-Pakistan Parliamentarian’s Friendship Group. He expressed his hope that this occasion would help further to strengthen Pakistan-Japan bilateral relationship and to enhance the more Japanese parliamentarians’ visit to Pakistan for fostering the friendly parliaments’ relations already existing between two countries.

Japan and Pakistan established the diplomatic relation in April 28, 1952. Since then, Japan and Pakistan have been enjoying cordial and friendly bilateral relations in a wide range of areas. Japan also started its economic cooperation for Pakistan in 1954 and has built good bilateral relations stretching over decades.
